Meditation for All
Meditation can open the door to happiness, well-being, good health and
inner peace. The practise can also be the first step onto a path of self-discovery
and spiritual fulfillment.
By learning how to still the mind and then gently observe
your ego, you start being instead of doing.
The regular practise of meditation can let you discover who you really
are, rather than who you think you are. The pressures and stresses of
modern-day living take on a different perspective and value; your awareness
of compassion and universal love deepens. Your entire outlook on life
changes and you start to find a much deeper level to life and existence.
This can then lead to exploring the many paths of philosophy, ideals and
beliefs, without the pre-conceived prejudices which attach
themselves to man-made doctrines. Remember, many of our truly enlightened
beings, be they Christian, Buddhist, Jewish, Hindu, Islamic, Earth Centred,
etc., practise their own form of meditation to access their inner-self,
their inner-being. |

Meditation from Scratch
This is a gentle and easy introduction to the basic principles of meditation,
without any direction toward a particular philosophy, belief or ideal
that will naturally come once the basic principle has become a
regular practise.
The Meditation from Scratch course will comprise 6 sessions, each lasting
about 75 to 90 minutes, exploring posture, breath and focus; along with
discussion and personal exploration within a safe and supportive environment.
Courses are run periodically at a convenient location in the centre of
Penwith, with groups of 8 to 12 people. Each course is aimed specifically
at those who have never meditated before; or for those who wish to start
again and who have an open mind, uncluttered by past experiences, personal
agenda or ego.
The cost of the 6-week course is £25 payable in advance, and either
run during the day or in the evenings (from about 7pm to 8.45pm). For
more information or to discuss detail, please contact me by email at info@penwithdruid.com
and I'll get back to you.

The Friday Forum
The Friday Forum is a small meditation group; we gather each Friday in
order to enrich our daily practice by exploring meditation to a greater
depth. We examine a number of approaches to meditation, although always
keeping the Tree of Life as our overall focus. We also explore topics
and subjects that may develop our deeper awareness of Self and Unity.
On occasion, we invite a guest speaker to present their idea and practice
of meditation, so that we may learn more about how meditation can be used
as a way of life. Each Friday Forum gathering also includes a silent meditation
that lasts for about 30 minutes.
The Friday Forum is open to anyone who has completed Meditation ...the
continuing journey course, and who has a regular practise of meditation.
We meet at a convenient location in the centre of Penwith at 7pm, usually
ending around 9pm, and there is a small contribution of £3 per person
to cover costs.
Finally, the Friday meditation has no particular philosophy, belief
or ideal, it is simply a space for whatever purpose you wish it
to be; a space within yourself.
